Benefits of membership

CONTINUING EDUCATION:

Up to sixteen (16) RACE approved credit hours and our annual Florida Pharmacy Law and Rules Continuing Education Meeting for three (3) credit hours. An SFVMA member can easily fulfill their 30-credit requirement for renewal of Florida State License by coming to all the meetings in a two (2) year period.

Not an SFVMA member, but would like to attend a continuing education meeting?

We’ve got good news for you! You can still attend our monthly CE meetings for a nominal fee. Purchase a non- member guest pass HERE. Price per meeting is $50 for non-members per meeting.

* This excludes the Pharmacy & Laws/Regulations meeting. Price per this meeting is $140 for non-members. *

SOCIAL EVENTS:

The SFVMA promotes camaraderie and friendships between colleagues by hosting various social events including our annual Spring Soiree and Holiday Party.

PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION:

A professional association representing your interests and helping to maintain local channels of communication with local, state and federal regulatory agencies.

NEWSLETTER:

The SFVMA authors a bi-monthly newsletter to keep you informed on the latest news.

NEW GRADUATE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM:

Our new mentorship program was designed to help new graduates make the successful transition to clinical veterinary practice. Actively maintaining a support system through mentorship during this crucial transition in a new graduate’s career can help build their confidence, share knowledge, and improve patient care. Our new mentorship program aims to match new graduates with members of our veterinary community based on professional interests.
